The Historian Advisory Committee is composed of 5 individuals who provide comment, suggestions, and ideas to the LPA Historian about the policies, guidelines, website, and other matters connected with the collection, storage, description and accesibility of materials and items stored in the LPA Archive.
Currently the Advisory Committee is working on the following projects:
1. A cooperative effort with the Dwarf Athletic Association of America, DAAA, to collect, store, describe and make accessible documents, film, recordings, event statistics, and memorabilia that document the creation and operation of DAAA since its founding in 1982.
2. Produce a series of filmed and recorded oral interviews that feature members of LPA. Initially the interviews will focus on older members who will be asked to share their life experiences and how LPA impacted their life choices. In the future oral interviews will feature elected officers at the National, District and Chapter, parents, siblings and a cross section of the membership. This project is in the planning stage and is expected to continue for several years into the future.
